Our client, a reputable construction company, is seeking a skilled and proactive Construction Planner/Scheduler to join their team based in Bloemfontein, Free State . This role is pivotal in developing, monitoring, and updating comprehensive project schedules for diverse construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction methodologies, project timelines, and critical path analysis, coupled with proficiency in scheduling software. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure realistic and achievable construction programs are established and maintained. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed construction schedules for various projects from initiation to completion.
• Utilize project management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to create and update schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site staff to gather information on progress, potential delays, and resource requirements.
• Analyze project schedules to identify critical paths, potential bottlenecks, and resource conflicts.
• Prepare regular progress reports, schedule updates, and look-ahead schedules for project teams and stakeholders in Bloemfontein .
• Monitor site progress against the planned schedule and advise on necessary adjustments or recovery actions.
• Assist in the development of baseline schedules and support change management processes.
• Perform delay analysis and assess the impact of changes on project timelines.
• Ensure that all planning and scheduling activities are aligned with project objectives and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• A qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
