Job description

Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction of LNG Tanks.

Site supervision of subcontractors involved in Tank EPC projects.

Control and report progress on construction works.

Coordinate concrete supply to the Tank subcontractor and manage other services such as logistics, transport, and cranage.

Ensure proper implementation and adherence to HSE & quality procedures.

Lead the works completion and delivery process, including quality dossiers and tank hydrotests.

Support Project Management with contractual aspects.

Tasks:

  • Provide guidelines for defining construction execution plans and strategies, including subcontracting, logistics, and constructability studies during early project stages.
  • Participate in defining overall project planning and scheduling for construction activities with key construction organization roles.
  • Ensure application of suitable procedures for work methods and site regulations, especially if not already arranged in planning phases.
  • Ensure activities are completed within planned time and budget, coordinating construction teams and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze progress data, identify deviations, and propose solutions or request instructions to address issues.
  • Implement recovery plans, re-plan activities, reassign work scopes, or hire personnel as necessary.
  • Gather and analyze progress data to prepare reports.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary activities, verify construction strategies, and make technical decisions to resolve conflicts, optimizing sequences.
  • Manage mobilization/demobilization of resources according to project timelines and needs.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary construction activities and manage subcontractors, providing work guidelines and monitoring manpower and equipment adequacy.
  • Support project management in evaluating variation requests.
  • Ensure achievement of construction milestones, including mechanical completion.
  • Manage interfaces with the Client and engineering departments regarding construction activities, drawings, and materials.
  • Identify lessons learned, monitor plant performance, and seek continuous improvement.
  • Monitor construction efficiencies and productivity factors.
  • Manage Mechanical Completion activities, monitoring schedules, quality certifications, punch lists, and handovers.
  • Develop monthly construction front studies based on engineering and procurement data.
  • Set objectives, targets, and responsibilities for supervision staff.
  • Implement HSE procedures for construction and pre-commissioning.
  • Implement site quality control plan.
  • Manage construction budget through ongoing analysis of payments and progress, ensuring proper cash flow.
  • Report to Project Director and Manager on construction matters.
  • Review contractual documents related to construction and interface with other project functions.

Work location: Remote area / Afungi site

Rotation: 75 days on duty / 21 days off duty

Working hours: 10 hours per day / 60 hours per week (Monday to Saturday)

Salary: Based on experience - USD per month (12 paid salaries annually)
