Construction Manager - Earthworks

Hire Resolve's client, a reputable and well-established civil construction company specializing in infrastructure development, is currently seeking a Construction Manager for a civil infrastructure project based in George. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and oversee a large-scale project involving earthworks, concrete structures, and pipework.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring work progresses according to plan and specifications.
2. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, materials, and resources efficiently.
3. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
4. Monitor project timelines and budgets, identifying and mitigating potential delays.
5. Report to senior management and stakeholders on project status and site conditions.
6. Lead site meetings and liaise with engineers, consultants, and clients.

Requirements

1. Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (BTech, BSc, or BEng).
2. Proven experience in managing civil infrastructure projects, preferably including earthworks, concrete work, and pipe installations.
3. A few years of experience in construction management is preferred.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Valid driver’s license and willingness to be based in George for the duration of the project.
