Construction Manager (Civil)

We are currently looking for a Construction Manager (Civil) to join our team. This is a 12-month contract position based in the Middleburg area.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering (NQF 7)
• Safety Course: A3
• A post-graduate degree in Engineering will be an advantage (NQF Level 8)
• Management Development Program will be an advantage

Experience:

• Extensive experience in the construction industry at a Supervisory or Management level
• Extensive experience within the mining industry in the Engineering discipline
• Experience in Contractor Management will be an advantage

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Mine Health and Safety Act and Environmental Legislation
• In-depth knowledge of engineering processes and practices, as well as within the construction discipline
• An understanding of contracting principles and contractor management
• Knowledge of project management packages such as Microsoft Project
• Communication skills (written and verbal)
