Job description

LMS Energy is Australia's largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a part-time Construction Labourer / Gas Field Installer based in Newcastle and the Central Coast in NSW.

As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Manager, primarily involving preparing and installing biogas extraction systems on landfills across Australia. You will work outdoors in a dynamic and hazardous environment and may occasionally travel intrastate and interstate to landfill sites. LMS offers full in-house training for the right applicant, and construction labourers / trades are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  1. Install biogas wells following drilling procedures.
  2. Erect manifold stations.
  3. Place and connect flow lines to biogas wells.
  4. Install and fill J Traps.
  5. Bedding of trenches.
  6. Setup and use of laser levels.
  7. Perform butt/electro fusion welding.
  8. Support the national biogas team, including Leading Hands, Supervisors, and Managers.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction principles (desirable).
  • A team player with a strong work ethic, initiative, resilience, and good communication skills.
  • Fitness to perform the job safely and competently.
  • Upholds LMS company values and culture.
