Job summary

Network Finance is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety professional for an on-site role on a major construction project in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will implement and maintain safety systems, perform site inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

The candidate will participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and inductions, while promoting a proactive safety culture among contractors and project teams.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• SACPCMP registration or eligibility to register will be advantageous.
• Construction site experience preferred.
• Sound understanding of health and safety principles and legislation.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of health and safety systems on site.
• Conducting site inspections and identifying potential hazards before they become incidents.
• Supporting compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations.
• Participating in risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Assisting with investigations and reporting of incidents and near misses.
• Facilitating site inductions and safety awareness initiatives.
• Working closely with contractors, supervisors, and project teams to promote a positive safety culture.
• Maintaining health and safety records and documentation.
