The Concrete Technologist is responsible for testing prestressed concrete to ensure that our products conform to specifications. This role involves material testing, mix design development, quality control, troubleshooting, and research. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a construction, ready-mix, or quarry environment, and be proficient in concrete technology and quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Material Testing and Analysis :
Conduct tests on concrete materials to ensure they meet specified standards and performance criteria, including testing for compressive strength, slump, air content, and other properties.
Mix Design Development :
Develop and optimize concrete mix designs tailored to specific project requirements, ensuring the right balance of materials to achieve desired strength, durability, and workability.
Quality Control and Assurance :
Implement and oversee quality control procedures during the production and placement of concrete, ensuring that the finished product meets all relevant specifications and standards.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving :
Identify and address issues related to concrete performance, such as cracking, scaling, or improper curing, and develop solutions to mitigate these problems.
Research and Development :
Stay current with advancements in concrete technology, conduct research on new materials and methods, and develop innovative solutions to improve the performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of concrete.
