Placements24 is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer specializing in computer vision in Rustenburg, North West, ZA. You will design, train, and deploy CV models, build deep learning architectures, and develop data pipelines for large image datasets in an in-office setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/EE/AI, strong Python skills, and experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch/Keras, plus OpenCV and cloud familiarity.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision models.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Proficiency with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV.
• Solid understanding of image processing techniques and machine learning algorithms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed training is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, essential for an in-office collaborative setting.

Responsabilidades

• Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for computer vision tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and facial recognition.
• Develop and optimize deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, Vision Transformers) for image and video analysis.
• Implement efficient data pipelines for collecting, preprocessing, and augmenting large image datasets.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to integrate computer vision capabilities into production systems.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in computer vision and deep learning.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Contribute to the overall AI strategy and roadmap of the company.
