Job summary

Rosstone is seeking an engineering professional to support the release of vehicle body components through established processes and systems in a South African setting. The role involves solving design-related issues across local platforms and maintaining BOM records, with coordination of testing and component releases.

Preference for candidates with German or Portuguese language ability, initiative, and strong communication across levels.

• 2–5 years experience in Supplier/Quality/Engineering of automotive components.
• Development /Improvements / Problem solving.
• Initiative, self-starter able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills to all levels.
• Willingness to travel and learn German & Portuguese language.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

• Co-ordination of testing and release of components & systems
• Initiate and drive cost savings on components into production
• Good problem solving and communication skills and have to function well within a group environment
• German or Portuguese communication skills will be an advantage.

ABOUT YOU:

ESSENTIAL:

• Technical National Diploma or Degree
• 2-5 years experience in Supplier/Quality/ Engineering of automotive components

(Development /Improvements / Problem solving)

• Initiative, be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills to all levels
• Willingness to travel and learn German & Portuguese language
• Ability to quickly learn and understand complex components/systems/networks
• Good technical problem solving ability
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office tools)

PREFERRED:

• Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent multi- discipline
• Knowledge of automotive components assemblies i.e. front ends, etc.
• Problem solving experience related to production and supplier challenges
• component development experience would be advantageous
• German language knowledge
