Compliance Specialist at Financial Intelligence Centre

Key Performance Areas include:

1. Provide advice on reviews where expert knowledge of industry and guidance is requested;
2. Provide written / verbal testimony in administrative and criminal proceedings where required;
3. Respond to highly complex compliance queries where required;
4. Present to highly complex audiences, e.g. JSE members, and provide additional input into written material;
5. Provide expert advice on highly complex guidance products, including directives, as well as interpretation issues for the compliance handbook;
6. Lead and advise consultations with Supervisory Bodies;
7. Provide expert advice across industries pertaining to the entity compliance profiles;
8. Identify and provide expert advice and solutions related to the AML risks at the national, industry/sector and entity risk assessment levels;
9. Provide advice on research methodology and lead research in respect of risk based approach and other complex compliance areas;
10. Conceptualise and facilitate the development and implementation of data systems, reporting tools, and the integration of data within the FIC;
11. Engage with external reporters who have complex business systems, to facilitate registration and reporting;
12. Engage and facilitate with external agencies to facilitate the movement of information from them to the FIC in a format that can be integrated into the FIC systems.
