Purpose Of The Job

The purpose of the role is to assist the Head of Financial Crime Control with the coordination, facilitation, and management of the AML/CFT Risk program within Alexforbes SA group of companies.

Overview

The role is part of the First Line Compliance team for the business, within the Investment pillar, supporting the Alexforbes SA group of companies. This role reports to the Head of FCC in Consulting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder engagement & relationship management
  • Assist with financial crimes risk assessments, e.g., RBA assessments
  • Respond to queries from various business units related to financial crime compliance
  • Develop and maintain a governance calendar & work plan for AML/CFT/PF & Sanctions reports
  • Participate in project management for FCC projects
  • Monitor outsourced functions for regulatory compliance
  • Drive awareness of AML/CFT/PF & Sanctions risks across all pillars
  • Address queries from the FCC COE team regarding AML
  • Escalate compliance and operational risks to the Head of AML/CFT/PF & Sanctions
  • Maintain a register for governance reviews and reminders
  • Develop and deliver AML/CFT/PF & Sanctions training
  • Ensure compliance with AML/CFT/PF & Sanctions regulations
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and legislation
  • Assist with FICA documentation for external parties
  • Conduct compliance monitoring reviews
  • Test customer files for compliance
  • Manage risk register and issues to ensure closure
  • Align FCC checklist with Framework requirements
  • Review SOPs periodically and ensure governance approval
  • Prepare regulatory reports (e.g., Directive 4, Directive 6)
  • Assist in compliance audits and inspections
  • Manage alert investigations and escalate as needed

Requirements
