Qualifications

  • Coordinate, maintain, and improve systems related to SHE, ISO, and firearms.
  • Conduct audits in Regional offices and on sites.
  • Facilitate and provide training on relevant processes and legal requirements.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate, maintain, and improve systems related to SHE, ISO, and firearms.
  2. Compile and maintain documentation (files, etc.) for the Regional / Divisional offices and sites, including managing DMS for H & S and Firearms.
  3. Ensure that required meetings occur regularly (monthly or quarterly) within the Region / Division.
  4. Conduct audits in Regional offices and on sites.
  5. Facilitate and provide training on relevant processes and legal requirements.
  6. Ensure compliance with the company's disciplinary code.
  7. Maintain and ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 quality management system.
  8. Ensure compliance with client equipment requirements.

Preferred qualifications / attributes / skills:

  • PSIRA Grade A certification.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience in a similar position is advantageous.
  • SAMTRAC or equivalent qualification.
  • SHEQ management knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 / 2015 quality standards.
  • Firearm competency, knowledge of the Firearms Control Act, and relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Internal Audit or Lead Auditor training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good planning and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Training and legal interpretation skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Driven, energetic, with strong attention to detail.
  • Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record.
