Are you a compliance expert ready to take ownership of governance and risk in a fastpaced highly regulated industry

A leading player in the online gambling sector is looking for a driven and strategic Compliance Manager to join their team in South Africa. This is a unique opportunity to step into a pivotal role ensuring the business remains fully aligned with regulatory obligations while fostering a culture of compliance and accountability.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with deep knowledge of South African gambling regulations antimoney laundering protocols and risk management practices. A natural communicator and problemsolver theyll be just as comfortable presenting to executives as they are managing audits or updating compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Designing and managing robust compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Overseeing AML policies risk controls and due diligence processes.
  • Leading regulatory audits reporting and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensuring alignment with POPIA PAIA BBBEE and Employment Equity legislation.
  • Training internal teams and embedding a culture of compliance across the business.

What were looking for :

  • 5 years experience in compliance within gambling financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of South African regulatory frameworks AML / CTF obligations data protection laws and responsible gambling standards.
  • A legal qualification (BCom Law / LLB) with further postgraduate studies is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build and lead compliance programmes from the ground up.
  • Confident in working independently managing multiple priorities and influencing senior stakeholders.
