Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Compliance Manager to lead the compliance function in Bloemfontein. This senior role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's compliance programs, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

You will foster a culture of integrity and ethical conduct, conducting risk assessments and liaising with regulators and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to law, finance or business administration.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in compliance, legal, or audit roles, preferably in financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of South African financial regulations (e.g., FIC Act, POPIA, Companies Act).
• Proven experience developing and implementing compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential non-compliance.
• Monitor changes in legislation and regulations, updating policies accordingly.
• Oversee reporting of suspicious activities and manage investigations as needed.
• Provide compliance training and guidance to all levels of staff.
