Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Information Security Analyst specializing in compliance to join our team in Sandton. You will develop and implement compliance programs, conduct audits, and manage the organization's security posture against evolving requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of information security with a focus on compliance, risk and governance. Knowledge of POPIA and GDPR and frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001 is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information systems, law, or related field.
• 3–5 years of information security experience focused on compliance, risk, and governance.
• Knowledge of POPIA, GDPR and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and audits.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communicative.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies and standards to meet compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments for regulatory adherence.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on security practices.
• Manage third-party risk assessments and vendor security reviews.
• Coordinate with external auditors during compliance verification.
• Assist in delivering security awareness training.
