Yampa Valley Bank (YVB) Compliance & Risk Manager

YVB is committed to powering our communities by enabling our customers to succeed. The Compliance & Risk Manager will play a key role in risk management, ensuring that bank initiatives and processes comply with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

This position has the resources and executive commitment to establish and maintain compliance excellence. Location: Steamboat Springs, CO, Craig, CO, or remote.

Compensation: Annual base salary of $85,000, depending on experience. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus with a target of 10% of base salary. Responsibilities

1. Research federal and state banking laws and regulations; review YVB's policies to ensure compliance.
2. Conduct internal audits and compliance monitoring; establish annual risk assessments for audits and compliance.
3. Respond to inquiries from departments regarding compliance laws and regulations.
4. Manage audit functions, ensuring timely and effective reporting and follow-up.
5. Report regularly to executive management and the audit committee on audit responses and remedial actions.
6. Collaborate with the Information Security Officer to maintain security policies, standards, and training.
7. Document security incidents to protect assets and reputation.
8. Participate in the IT Steering Committee to define standards and provide risk management expertise.
9. Assist in information security risk assessments and report findings to relevant committees and the Board.
10. Develop and deliver training on compliance responsibilities for employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, economics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of five years' experience in banking compliance or risk management.
• Current or ability to obtain CRCM or CRCP certification.
