Job Description

The Compensation and Benefits Manager researches employee motives, implements appealing rewards, and tailors benefit programs aligned with employee needs. They utilize knowledge of labour legislation, organizational development, and employee engagement to build a fair and attractive compensation and benefits structure that enhances employee satisfaction and fosters a productive workplace.

They manage International Mobility, HR Controlling, Payroll, and HR Administration services and systems, supporting HR Business Partners and the business by executing their relevant roles and responsibilities.

The manager ensures risk control measures are in place for wages, salary forecasts, budgets, and payments.

Responsibilities include compiling Annual Salary Range Tables versus Salary Benchmarking annually, managing Labour Cost Budget, accruals, and forecasts for all consolidation units, and preparing Director Emoluments for AFS annually.

The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant laws such as Employment Equity and Equal Pay for Equal Value of Work, managing annual adjustments and incentive programs across all levels, and reporting bi-annually to REMCO on Compensation KPIs with industry updates.

The manager acts as the company's appointed representative and trustee of the Board to the Conti Prov Fund, NTMIPF, and the Medical Aid.

Other responsibilities include managing benefit administration processes (Long Term Illness, Death Investigations, Divorce Settlements, and Medical Boarding), payroll processing, and ensuring accurate and timely employee and vendor payments.

They ensure reconciliations with third parties are complete and payments are made by the 7th of the following month, maintain accurate timekeeping systems, and ensure data handling complies with the Data Protection Act, BCR, GDPR, and HR POPIA standards.

The role also involves moderating the job evaluation process, managing HR data for South Africa, developing policies and guidelines, and executing the HRBP role for Process Engineering and Quality Management.
