Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Social Work, Gerontology, or Community Care.
• 1–2 years of experience working with the elderly or in caregiving.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with seniors.
• Patience, empathy and genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage in social activities with elderly clients.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care as needed.
• Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and community events.
• Monitor the well-being of clients and report changes to the supervisor.
• Connect clients and their families with relevant community services and support networks.
• Offer emotional support and a listening ear to clients, addressing loneliness or isolation.
