Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Social Care Assistant to support elderly clients in Polokwane. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, monitor well-being, and follow personalized care plans to respect dignity and independence.

The role involves helping with personal care, meals, mobility, and light household tasks, plus communicating with clients, families and the care team.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification or training in healthcare/elderly care advantageous.
• Experience in caregiving, preferably with the elderly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patient, empathetic and responsible.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal preparation and maintain healthy diet.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health.
• Support mobility and light household tasks.
• Communicate with clients, families, and the care team about needs and progress.
