Job description

My client, an established accounting practice primarily serving small to medium owner-managed businesses, is seeking an experienced Company Statutory Secretary to join their team. The main focus of this role is CIPC administration and direct communication with clients, the Masters Office, as well as Directors and Trustees. If you enjoy working in a close-knit and dynamic team, this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities:
  1. Complete registration documents for Close Corporations and Companies to facilitate registration.
  2. Liaise with the Registrar of Companies, Close Corporations (CIPC), and the Masters Office.
  3. Prepare documents for the de-registration of CCs and Companies.
  4. Manage transfer of shares and allotment of share capital.
  5. Assist with name changes and the conversion of CCs to Companies.
  6. Handle conversion of "old format" to "new format" Companies.
  7. Assist with administrative duties related to appointment and resignation of Directors, change of members.
  8. Draw bank certificates.
  9. Assist with administrative tasks for Trustees' appointments and resignations.
  10. Submit annual return submissions to CIPC.
  11. Assist with ad hoc administrative duties, filing, and taking minutes.
  12. Liaise with clients, CIPC, and the Masters Office.
