Purpose of Job :

Seeking a proactive and experienced Buyer to take ownership of our purchasing operations across two branches – with more locations in the pipeline. This is a key role for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of trade supply and is ready to help us scale efficiently and profitably.

Required Qualifications :

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage 200 (Sage pastel Evolution)

Technical Competencies and Experience :

• 3 to 5 years of buying or procurement experience, preferably in the electrical or plumbing industry
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and detail-oriented, experience in stock forecasting and reporting
• Work independently and manage multiple supplier relationships
• Knowledge of international sourcing practices advantageous

Key Responsibilities :

• Purchase stock for branches
• Source and manage buyouts
• Negotiate suppliers' pricing, deals and rebates
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and sales representatives
• Provide monthly procurement and performance reports to management
• Monitor stock levels
• Strong knowledge of electrical and plumbing products
• Ability to manage stock
• Experience as a buyer to manage and grow operations across two branches
