Community Projects Manager

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
  • At least ten years’ experience in community management and/or staff support, or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in planning and executing successful upliftment or wellbeing projects.
  • Excellent communicator in both Afrikaans and English, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker with a self-driven mindset and a passion for community building and people’s wellbeing.
  • An empathetic individual with an inclusive and positive outlook on life.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategies for community engagement within the organisation.
  • Plan and coordinate wellness programmes, mental health initiatives, and awareness campaigns.
  • Lead upliftment projects such as volunteering, mentoring, and social impact activities.
  • Arrange and facilitate community events for the organisation and our Aftercare Centre.
  • Develop campaigns to promote community and wellness initiatives.
  • Monitor participation and feedback, and use data to improve the programmes.
