About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Outreach Program Manager to lead initiatives aimed at engaging and supporting diverse communities in Benoni, Gauteng . This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing outreach strategies that connect individuals with essential services, foster community partnerships, and promote social well-being. You will manage a team of outreach workers, coordinate program activities, and ensure programs meet the needs of the community. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in program management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of community dynamics in the Gauteng area. This position offers a blend of strategic planning and hands-on engagement within the Benoni community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive community outreach strategies and action plans.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of outreach programs, including budgeting, resource allocation, and team supervision.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of community outreach workers, fostering a collaborative and effective work environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, local organizations, government agencies, and community leaders in Benoni .
• Identify community needs and gaps in services, and develop innovative programs to address them.
• Organize and promote community events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Monitor program performance, collect data, and prepare regular reports on outreach activities and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Community Development, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in community outreach, program management, or social services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful outreach programs.
• Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of social issues and community development principles.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience working within the Gauteng region, particularly Benoni , is highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, and travel within the region.
