Job description

The Community Manager is responsible for nurturing, managing, engaging, and growing a community.

They implement social media and communication campaigns to align with the client's marketing strategy.

They use online marketing skills to promote a business, engage customers, and build brand recognition.

Responsibilities :

  1. Implement community management strategy
  2. Keep social media profiles up to date
  3. Schedule and publish posts across social media platforms
  4. Monitor social media channels and respond to comments, messages, and @ mentions in a timely and professional manner
  5. Source user-generated content across platforms
  6. Monitor and report on community feedback
  7. Foster relationships with influencers
  8. Engage with followers to build a sense of community and loyalty
  9. Identify potential issues within the community and address them proactively
  10. Manage and mitigate negative situations as they arise in real time
  11. Execute social listening to deepen consumer understanding around specific topics and deliver insightful feedback to the team
  12. Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns and contests
  13. Stay informed of the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices
  14. Identify and document client red flags and develop internal processes to address them
  15. Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals, influencers, and journalists
  16. Advocate for new ideas and approaches to support continuous improvement and innovation
  17. Collaborate across teams to ensure cohesive community management

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Passion for social media
  • At least 3 years of experience as a social media or community manager
  • Expert understanding of all social media platforms
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Professionalism
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Availability from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm SA time
