Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Community Health Worker to join the Community & Social Care team in Upington. You will connect community members with health and social services, provide education, and promote healthier lifestyles in the Upington area.

You will assess needs, assist navigation of services, and support outreach events while building trust with residents. The role offers training, ongoing development, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on community well-being.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent; health or community development qualification is advantageous.
• Experience as a community health worker or in a similar role preferred.
• Good understanding of local health services and community resources in Upington.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
