About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Community Development Facilitator to join their team in Kimberley. This role is pivotal in engaging with local communities to identify needs, foster development initiatives, and empower residents to drive positive change. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing various community projects, working collaboratively with local stakeholders, NGOs, and government entities. This hybrid position allows for flexible engagement, balancing essential fieldwork with remote planning and reporting, to significantly impact socio-economic development in the Northern Cape region, within a forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with community members and stakeholders to assess development needs and opportunities.
• Design, plan, and facilitate community-based projects and programs focusing on areas such as education, health, economic empowerment, and infrastructure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, government agencies, and other partners.
• Mobilize community resources and encourage active participation in development initiatives.
• Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and report on findings to stakeholders and management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.
