Job description

Blue Security is looking for a highly skilled, operationally astute CCPU Manager to lead our Community Crime Prevention Units. This role requires strong leadership, real-time decision-making, and deep tactical experience in high-risk incident management. If you have a background in law enforcement, military or private tactical response and know how to run coordinated crime-fighting operations, his could be for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all tactical operations and deployments across the city.

Oversee the training, development, and performance of Tactical Officers (TIOs), Tactical Command Centre (TCC), and Community Command Centre (CCC) teams.

Direct high-risk crime scene interventions including armed robberies, hijackings, and other Trio Crimes.

Collaborate closely with SAPS and Metro Police.

Ensure daily readiness, discipline, and operational capability of the tactical team.

Review weekly crime trend reports and adjust deployments accordingly.

Drive intelligence-led policing and proactive risk-based strategies in all around Durban.

Conduct quarterly scenario-based training and maintain the unit’s tactical edge.

Minimum Requirements:

PSIRA Grade A (registered and valid)

Minimum 5 years’ tactical leadership experience in private security, military, or SAPS.

Strong understanding of crime prevention operations in high-risk urban environments.

Proven ability to manage teams in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.

Solid working knowledge of control room systems, CCTV, SNIPR, and other tactical tech.

Valid driver’s licence and ability to respond to incidents at any time, if required.

Excellent communication, coordination, and people-management skills.

Advantageous:

Close Protection (CPO) or Tactical Firearms Certifications. Self-loading rifle, Shotgun and pistol competency for business purposes.

Past SAPS, military experience.

First Aid, trauma handling, or fitness background
