Job summary

Placements24 seeks a compassionate Community Care Giver to support clients in their homes in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will assist with daily living activities, accompany clients, and help ensure safety and wellbeing in a familiar environment.

This hands-on role demands empathy, reliability, and strong communication. You will travel to clients' homes within the Vereeniging area, promoting independence and dignity while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver in home care or community setting.
• Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR is desirable.
• Understanding of common health conditions and care needs for the elderly or disabled.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and empathetic demeanor.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help clients with mobility, transfers, and light housekeeping duties as needed.

• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to combat loneliness and promote mental well-being.
• Monitor clients' health status, recognizing and reporting any changes to supervisors or healthcare providers promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a caregiver, preferably in a home care or community setting.
