Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Manager, Projects E&I, the incumbent will manage and coordinate engineering and construction activities to ensure the project is executed in a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Project Manager to implement and manage FQM's in-house electrical and instrumentation construction capability on several projects.
  2. Support E&I divisions on site with construction activities on capital projects globally.
  3. Ensure on-time delivery of the E&I portion of projects.
  4. Co-ordinate, support, and direct all team members during the construction phase of the project.
  5. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials.
  6. Assist and develop project execution plans and manning forecast.
  7. Deal with technical queries from site and vendors.
  8. Liaise with consultant design team.
  9. Inspect & FAT of electrical equipment.
  10. Ad hoc duties as assigned by Manager.
  11. Compile and forecast budgets for construction phase.
Qualifications Required:

Electrical Engineering Degree. 5-10 years working experience, with site construction experience. Construction experience in mining and process plant preferred.

Experience & Skills Required:

Critical thinking. Pragmatic. Ability to work under pressure.

Other Requirements:

Travel to various sites on an ad hoc basis when required.
