Job summary

AUDA - NEPAD is seeking a Communications and Public Relations Officer based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing communication strategies, managing media relations, and engaging in public engagement activities within an international development context. This role requires strong expertise in communication, a relevant degree, and capacity to work in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience for Master's degree holders, or 4 years for Bachelor's holders.
  • Experience in international development/public health is advantageous.
  • Fluency in one AU official language, with another as an advantage.

Education andExperience :

  • A Master's degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field with a minimum relevant experience of two (2) years of working experience within multilateral / development institutions or similar organisations nationally, regionally and / or internationally.
  • Experience in international development or public health programs is added advantage.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field with a minimum relevant experience of four (4) years of working experience within multilateral / development institutions or similar organisations nationally, regionally and / or internationally.
  • Experience in international development or public health programs is added advantage.
