Purpose of the Role:
The Marketing Communication Specialist is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing and communication strategies that support brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales objectives across the automotive retail and dealership network. This role will focus on delivering consistent messaging across all channels—including digital, print, social media, and in-dealership promotions—to ensure alignment with brand standards and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing communication plans that support vehicle sales, aftersales, and dealership services.
- Create, edit, and manage content for various channels including brochures, social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and website updates.
- Collaborate with sales and product teams to understand campaign needs and translate them into effective communication materials.
- Coordinate with external agencies and vendors for advertising, media buying, and creative design.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance metrics, ROI, and customer engagement data.
- Support the launch of new vehicles, services, and dealership promotions through tailored marketing communications.
- Oversee all aspects of event management, including budgeting, logistics, vendor coordination, and post-event analysis to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure consistent brand tone and visual identity across all communications.
- Assist in organizing promotional events and sponsorships that enhance brand visibility and community engagement.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior in the automotive industry.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing communication, preferably in the automotive.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing communication campaigns.
- Familiarity with South African automotive market trends and consumer behavior.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CMS platforms, and social media management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Graphic design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)
- CRM and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot)
- Multilingual (English plus a local South African language is a plus)
