Job description

Our company, based in Pretoria (Gaarsfontein), is looking to employ a committee secretary/board secretariat on a permanent basis.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For:

  • Rendering appropriate secretariat and corporate governance services to the FSCA, including the provision of secretarial and administrative support to the office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator and the office of the FAIS Ombud.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the senior committee secretary.

The Duties Are As Follows:

  • To render professional secretariat services to relevant internal and external committees of the FSCA, OPFA, and FAIS Ombud Office in accordance with the industry's best practices.
  • Responsible for logistics related to meetings of the FSCA committees, which include accommodation, catering, travel, and venue bookings.
  • Administer annual declarations by committee members.
  • Manage and coordinate the annual FSCA meetings calendar and annual work plans.
  • Render corporate governance services to committee members in acting as the central source of guidance.
  • Review terms of reference on an annual basis.

Required Qualifications And Experience:

  • Matric
  • Appropriate/relevant degree or diploma (legal qualifications will be an added advantage).
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in minute-taking and corporate governance services.
  • Experience in the regulatory environment coupled with knowledge of the financial services sector will be an added advantage.
