We’re on the lookout for a Commercial Underwriter to join our dynamic and growing team! This hybrid role is based in Lynnwood, Pretoria, and offers the opportunity to work with leading insurers and support our Senior Underwriters and Administrators in executing binder mandates.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Commercial Underwriter, you will play a key role in supporting the team by:

• Providing quotes on new business and renewal terms on existing portfolios
• Managing post-loss actions, policy amendments, and corrective underwriting
• Screening and assessing risks in line with binder agreements and underwriting protocols
• Interpreting policy wordings and applying insurer underwriting criteria
• Working closely with administrators, brokers, and insurers to deliver exceptional service
• Contributing to risk management by identifying underwriting risks and managing them proactively
• Supporting brokers and consultants with underwriting-related queries

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a candidate who is:
️ Experienced: Minimum 3 years in short-term insurance, with 1+ years in commercial underwriting
️ Qualified: Holds a Matric, RE5, FETC Level 4 in Short-Term Insurance, and is up to date with FAIS CPD requirements
