Placements24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber for East London, Eastern Cape, to install and maintain water supply and drainage systems in commercial buildings including high-rises and retail spaces.

You will read blueprints, interpret plumbing codes, select materials, and ensure work meets safety and quality standards on busy construction sites. 3–5 years of commercial plumbing in new builds is required; relocation or commuting to East London is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain water and drainage systems in commercial construction projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and plumbing codes to determine project requirements.
• Install water supply lines, including hot and cold water systems, and waste/vent piping.
• Install fixtures such as toilets, sinks, faucets, and water heaters.
• Connect piping systems to appropriate water mains and sewer lines.
• Perform pressure testing on piping systems to ensure leak‑free installations.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
• Use a variety of plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, wrenches, soldering equipment, and testing devices.
• Collaborate with other trades on the construction site, such as electricians and general contractors, to ensure project coordination.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any plumbing issues that arise during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Qualified Plumber with relevant trade certification or apprenticeship completion.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial plumbing installation, specifically within new construction environments.
