About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Plumbing and Pipefitting Technician to join their maintenance team in Port Elizabeth. This role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of water supply, drainage, and related systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and functionality of all plumbing infrastructure, responding to service requests, and performing routine checks. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality workmanship and client satisfaction in the Port Elizabeth area.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and repair water, drainage, and gas piping systems according to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems, identifying and rectifying leaks, blockages, and other issues.
• Operate and maintain pipe-cutting, threading, and bending machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, valves, pumps, and water heaters.
• Ensure all plumbing work meets building codes and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency plumbing service calls and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumber or Pipefitter.
• Solid understanding of plumbing materials, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing diagrams and blueprints.

• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including working in confined spaces and lifting heavy materials.
