The opportunity

Nile is an innovative e-commerce platform on a mission to transform the agricultural landscape in Africa. Our team combines experience from leading global companies, and we are looking for a Commercial Manager to spearhead initiatives within our fast-growing Inputs division.

Your Role

As the Commercial Manager for Agri Inputs, you will focus on building and managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring a reliable supply chain, and driving sales through successful marketing initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing strategies to expand our agri-input product offerings and market presence
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders in the agricultural inputs sector
  • Working with Nile's tech team to design and launch innovative digital functionality for our online marketplace
  • Overseeing the procurement process to secure competitive pricing and quality products for our customers
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to promote product offerings and drive sales growth
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in commercial management, especially within the agricultural inputs sector
  • Preference from candidates with managerial-level experience at inputs suppliers and cooperatives
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and successful product launches
  • Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Adept at adapting to fast-paced and rapidly changing environments
