Commercial Manager Job Description

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial aspects of a business, with the primary goal of driving revenue growth and maximizing profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement commercial strategies: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and potential markets.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and competitors.
  3. Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align commercial strategies with overall business goals.
  5. Sales and Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  6. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  7. Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  8. Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
  9. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze financial data, sales figures, and market trends to assess performance and identify opportunities.
  10. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
  11. Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and other business partners.
  12. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all commercial activities.

Desired Experience & Qualifications
  1. B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification.
  2. Proven 8 years of experience in a similar commercial management role, preferably within the same industry.
