Commercial Insurance Sales Consultant – Pretoria East.

Main Purpose of the Job:

This role focuses on selling both personal and commercial insurance solutions, leveraging strategic partnerships with South Africa’s leading bond originators and real estate agencies.

The consultant will play a key role in offering bank-approved coverage for homes, commercial properties, and other insurance needs.

The position is ideal for a dynamic, tech-savvy professional eager to drive sales through modern communication platforms and be at the forefront of the evolving property and insurance market.

Salary: R12 000 per month plus commission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective clients who have recently purchased properties.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers by managing leads and follow-ups.
  • Provide expert guidance on:
    • Commercial insurance for business-owned residential properties.
    • Commercial insurance for properties purchased for business purposes.
    • Commercial insurance for trust-owned properties.
    • Sectional title insurance.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.
  • Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge through training and professional development, including the use of AI tools to enhance sales performance.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Proven success in short-term insurance sales, covering both personal and commercial lines.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, target-driven sales call center environment.
  • Strong record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Expertise in objection handling and closing deals through outbound calling.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.

Educational & Certification Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) required; tertiary education is an advantage.
  • RE5 and FAIS qualifications (mandatory if registered as a short-term or long-term advised selling representative for more than two years).
