About the job: Commercial Finance Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 7 to 10 years of FP&A or business partnering experience
  • Data-savvy, strong SAP knowledge with a minimum of 3 years practical experience
  • Business partnering skills, influencing, learning agility, transparency, and ethical conduct
  • Fluent in English due to international exposure

Responsibilities:

  • Business partnering: manage reporting and approval processes for commercial projects and monthly reports
  • Support the creation of business opportunities, utilizing business cases to support Profit Plans and annual targets
  • Maintain effective cross-functional relationships with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service
  • Conduct project pricing analysis, including profitability, benchmarking, cost savings, and assessments
  • Perform quarterly and annual analysis, comparing P&L accounts against pricing conditions and market factors to evaluate profitability impact
  • Manage commercial relationships proactively and build strong partnerships
  • Build relationships with country leadership to support profitable growth
  • Provide real-time financial support, guidance, and insights for business performance and decision-making
  • Support decisions on commercial deals, pricing, and investments
  • Develop business and commercial acumen through direct customer and business unit interactions
  • Assess and advise on business and financial risks, communicating impacts effectively
  • Lead or support the development of business cases
  • Provide insights into business performance and quality commentaries for reporting
  • Support annual profit planning and monthly forecasting with leadership teams, focusing on margins and profitability analytics
  • Build a strong team to drive organizational value
  • Design financial solutions for business challenges, ensuring governance and controls
  • Improve tools for better business insights
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and prioritize demands
  • Lead projects, applying business acumen to meet objectives
  • Coordinate finance support for leadership teams on ad-hoc projects
  • Serve as a board member of the local company as required
