Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Commercial Contracts Manager to lead the contract management function. The role is remote with occasional visits to Centurion offices, focusing on drafting, negotiation, and ongoing management of commercial contracts.

You will work with business units, procurement, and legal teams to mitigate risks and maximize value from contractual relationships, driving best practices and robust frameworks across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial contract management or related legal field.
• Proven drafting and negotiation expertise on complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of commercial law and risk management principles.
• Experience with contract management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage standardized contract templates and processes across the organization.
• Lead the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.
• Oversee the contract administration process, including tracking key dates, obligations, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with legal and business teams to provide strategic advice on contract-related issues and dispute resolution.
• Train and mentor junior staff on contract management best practices and compliance requirements.
• Stay abreast of relevant legal and regulatory changes impacting commercial contracts.
