Purpose of the Job
Client, a South African bank, seeks a strategic individual to lead the Commercial Card strategy, including virtual cards, and enhance portfolio profitability while exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the credit and virtual card product lifecycle effectively.
Develop and manage product roadmaps aligned with business vision.
Define business problems, customer experience, and product strategy.
Analyze market trends and customer needs for ROI-driven decisions.
Partner with teams to secure resources, scope efforts, and prioritize projects.
Manage feature prioritization, quality, and timing.
Identify gaps, develop solutions, and improve processes.
Plan go-to-market strategies with marketing teams.
Drive product adoption and cross-selling within segments.
Support sales with tools, training, and resources.
Optimize customer lifecycle management and portfolio performance.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's in Commerce or equivalent
5-10 years in banking / financial services, with management experience
Proven track record in payment / card product management
Experience managing large projects and product lifecycle
Strong cross-functional team management skills
Mandatory Skills
Experience in credit card product management and operations
Full lifecycle management of credit card products
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Experience in marketing campaigns for credit cards
Provide sales teams with tools and training
