POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a dynamic
Commercial Business Manager to drive business growth and manage key operations for our client, a transport and logistics provider. This role is based in Stellenbosch and offers an opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation focused on delivering fast and reliable services across South Africa.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities in Level 1 and 2 logistics services across Southern Africa.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and suppliers, including regular visits.
- Strategically plan for business growth, setting goals and creating actionable plans.
- Negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers.
- Oversee financial management, including budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Supervise operations, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and technology innovation.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on key performance metrics and overall business performance.
- Analyse vehicle running costs to determine Cost Per Kilometre (CPK).
- Monitor monthly and yearly budgets.
- Recruit and manage staff, conducting performance evaluations, setting goals, and fostering a positive work environment.

Experience And Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the road transport industry.
- A relevant Degree in Logistics, Sales, or Business Management.
- Proven experience in building a stable customer base.
- Strong leadership, organisational skills, and a deep understanding of the transportation industry’s challenges.
