Purpose of the Position
- Providing financial support to the Customer Group through data analysis, financial modelling, and business cases to support strategic initiatives.
Key Performance Objectives Tasks
Budget & Forecasts
- Run with the end-to-end process of designing budget templates for base management and key performance indicators, distributing to African markets.
- Assist the in-market teams to ensure that budget holders monitor and understand base management and key performance indicators.
- Prepare the consolidation and present results to Manager: Commercial Business Partner
Business Case Development
- Assist markets and ExCo in the creation/ validation of business cases to support key strategic initiatives.
- Prepare business presentations and present the business case to Manager: Commercial Business Partner
- Define key KPI’s to measure the success of the business case.
- Measure the results of the business case.
- Prepare a final close out report and present to Manager:Commercial Business Partner.
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Manipulate large volumes of data to provide insights around key KPI’s.
- Prepare and present business presentations on this info to the requester.
- Prepare quarterly Sales and CVM canvas with accurate view of the financial impact of the offers.
- Run sales offer scenario analysis to determine price elasticity impact on trading profit.
- Track monthly performance of subscribers, decoder subsidy, marketing, communication costs and other key business indicators per market in support of the Customer Group.
- Assist in the development of financial models.
- Provide training and assistance to markets on performance indicators when required.
- Provide analytical support for commercial projects, initiatives, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Financial Management / Accounting / Engineering or Sciences
- CA (SA) advantageous
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in planning and target setting, data analysis, financial modelling
- Media or Telco background
- Experience in working with African markets would be an advantage.
- Knowledge and ability to collect and analyze data, using a combination of primary and secondary research tools, to extrapolate/derive actionable insights.
- CVM knowledge will be an advantage.
