Purpose of the Role
The Merchandising team at our client is responsible for compiling the business online shop window, using both qualitative and quantitative data to select the most appropriate deals to display on-site. By assessing which offerings deliver the most revenue for the company in the medium to long term, the Merchandising team provides insights to Sales teams and Management to meet changing consumer preferences and adapt to seasonal changes.
The Merchandising Administrator - Offsite plays a crucial role in ensuring email performance is optimised to maximise profit potential while supporting administrative responsibilities required to get a deal live from the point of signing.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Assesses deals launched on the website against set KPIs.
- Analyses location and tier performance of emails to make strategic decisions.
- Builds exposure strategies for different tiers and locations to maximise visitation and revenue on key deals.
- Plans daily email orders, ensuring a good mix of key categories, seasonal focuses, and avoiding deal fatigue.
- Builds exposure plans and schedules paid slots for generic deals to meet merchant requirements.
- Balances deal exposure offsite, ensuring revenue is maximised while keeping content engaging.
- Ensures there are no clashes between email orders for different regions.
- Selects deals for web and app push notifications.
- Works with the Product team to automate and innovate to maximise email performance.
- Assesses subscriber base and makes recommendations on email strategy.
- Uses audience builder tools to target suitable customers for deals.
- Works closely with CRM using A/B testing to improve email performance.
- Provides feedback to Sales and Analysis teams for deal gaps.
- Monitors personalisation performance and suggests innovations.

Technical Skills Required
- Degree or relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, etc.).
- Ability to analyse data sets and draw logical conclusions.
- Experience in SQL and Power BI (useful but not essential).
