Job description

We are seeking a results-driven Commercial Administrator / Assistant to the CEO to play a vital role in administrative coordination, commercial support, and strategic execution. This role involves supporting the CEO and Executive team in daily operations, managing key client and supplier relationships, assisting in business development, and contributing to the commercial success of the group.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support
• Coordinate daily administration functions across the group
• Compile agendas and take minutes for daily Executive and quarterly Board meetings
• Prepare business cases, tenders, proposals, and legal contracts in collaboration with Sales, departments, and advisers

Commercial Strategy & Financial Coordination
• Collaborate with the CEO, Financial Director, and Head of Sales to develop and manage revenue budgets
• Support the implementation of commercial strategies, including pricing models, aligned with market trends and business goals
• Analyse sales and financial data to evaluate performance and recommend improvements
• Monitor stock levels with Financial and Operations teams

Client & Supplier Relationship Management
• Assist in managing key client accounts and developing new business opportunities
• Support supplier relationship management alongside Operations
• Maintain regulatory relationships and coordinate compliance management

Sales & Marketing Support
• Develop impactful presentations for client and internal meetings
• Contribute to updates of the company website and social media with relevant content and articles
• Track competitor activity and market trends to inform commercial tactics

Policy & Compliance
• Review and update company policies and procedures
• Ensure alignment with risk and compliance frameworks

Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Commerce or Business Administration
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in business administration, commercial management, or business development
• Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)

Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint), including knowledge of AI-enhanced features
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication abilities
• Organised, analytical, and detail-oriented with excellent presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple stakeholders
• Comfortable with technical subject matter in hardware and software proposals
• Budgeting, forecasting, and business case development experience
• Exposure to the banking, CIT, retail, or technology sectors is a strong advantage
