Job description

My client, blue chip commercial division of SA's largest tiling company based in Pretoria, is looking for an admin assistant with immediate effect.

This person will handle general admin in the sales office, assist with specifications in construction projects, place and manage product orders, and handle relevant invoices.

They will arrange deliveries and reconcile project accounts.

They will also handle queries and problem solve.

Managing training schedules for agents as well as attend agent meetings also part of this persons duties.

They will prepare monthly and weekly reports and do product research from time to time.

General assistant to the Ops Manager.

Minimum requirements include excellent admin and organisational skills; must have a background working with architects, designers and builders within the construction industry in SA; must be able to work as part of a team and adapt to the companies marketing and sales strategies.

They must have solid computer skills and basic accounting / bookkeeping skills.

Must be able to handle pricing and costing.

Own transport is essential.

Matric is essential.

Must also be able to work one weekend a month in the showroom as this is a retail company.

This candidate must also have excellent communication (English and Afrikaans) and presentation skills - this is a middle to senior position.

Must be able to handle pressure - be a multi tasker.

3 month fixed term contract followed by perm employment.
