Job description

Our client in the Manufacturing and FMCG industry located in Durban is in search of a Commercial Accountant to join their team.

The Commercial Accountant monitors all financial data and prepares accurate statements for our company. Responsibilities include budgeting, managing tax payments, and performing internal audits. You will act as a consultant for senior managers conducting cost and revenue analyses.

Responsibilities

1. Gather and monitor financial data (e.g., sales revenues and liabilities)
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
3. Forecast costs and revenues
4. Manage tax payments
5. Organize internal audits
6. Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
7. Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
8. Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
9. Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Requirements

• CA(SA) / AGA(SA)
• Minimum 5 years experience in the Manufacturing industry
• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience
