Job summary

Reddam House Constantia, part of Inspired Education Group, seeks an experienced English educator for Grades 10–12 with IEB experience. The role focuses on delivering engaging, standards-aligned lessons in a supportive learning environment, ensuring student well-being and academic progress.

You will consistently plan and deliver IEB-aligned English lessons, assess students, write report comments, and engage in after-school activities.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience teaching English at FET level (Gr10-12).
• Previous experience with the IEB programme.
• University degree in an appropriate subject.
• SACE accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and present IEB-aligned English lessons.
• Create a nurturing, learning-focused classroom environment.
• Provide pastoral care for a group of students.
• Set and mark assessments and provide informative report comments.
• Respond to emails and messages within 24 hours.
• Participate in after-school activities and afternoon programme as required.

ROLE SUMMARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be an active contributor amongst a dynamic team.
• Consistently plan, prepare and present interesting and IEB aligned English lessons.

• Teach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week.
• Be actively engaged in the afternoon programme for a minimum of two afternoons per week.
• Respond to e-mails and telephone messages within 24 hours.
• Exemplify qualities of 'good', care, effort and kindness at all times.
• To be a Tutor teacher, ensuring effective pastoral care for a group of students.
• Effectively set and mark assessments and all other forms of student evaluation.
• Write informative report comments.
• To undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head / Deputy Head of Academics fairly determine.
