Job summary

Inspired Education Group is seeking a dedicated secondary school teacher for Reddford House The Hills in The Hills, Pretoria.

You will plan and deliver Business Studies, foster a nurturing learning environment, assess student progress, and integrate ICT into lessons while collaborating with colleagues and taking part in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience with secondary school students and post 16.
• Proficient ICT use in teaching.
• Experience with IEB Programmes.
• Experience in a high-performing international school.

Responsibilities

• Plan prepare and present interesting and exciting Business study lessons.
• Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing and promotes engaged learning.
• Behave professionally regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework.
• Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
• Be open to continuing professional development.
• Teach extra lessons on two afternoons per week.
• Produce high-standard resources for students.
• Respond to emails/phones from parents within 24 hours.
• Show loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
• Attend special occasions as directed by Head.
• Set and mark exams and other student evaluations.
• Write report comments.
• Undertake other reasonable tasks as required.

ROLE SUMMARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan prepare and present interesting and exciting Business study lessons.

• Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
• Be open to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.
• Teach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week.
• Produce resources of a high standard for students.
• Respond to e-mails and telephone messages from parents within 24 hours.
• Show loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
• Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
• Set and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.
• Write report comments.
• The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determine.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Skills and Previous Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience with students in a secondary school and post 16
• Confidence with use of ICT in teaching
• Previous experience with IEB Programmes
• Previous experience in a high-performing international school

Qualifications and Accreditations:

• University degree in appropriate subject
• Certified Teaching Status
• Appropriate right to work
