Job summary

BVi Consulting Engineers Wester Cape (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town invites applications for a Cold Recycling Application Engineer. This permanent position reports to the Transportation Design Centre Leader and focuses on advancing cold recycling in transportation projects.

You will integrate with the design office, provide construction training, plan activities, travel internationally for project evaluation, and compile feasibility and design reports while applying mechanistic-empirical pavement design.

Qualifications

• B.Eng/B.Tech in Civil Engineering required.
• 5-10 years experience in roads industry.
• Knowledge of cold recycling technology (BSM).
• Laboratory experience with pavement materials.
• Experience with cold recycling construction equipment.
• Willing to relocate to Cape Town.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with existing Transportation Infrastructure design office.
• Provide construction, laboratory and design training for cold recycling projects.
• Plan construction activities and material requirements.
• Travel internationally for cold recycling project evaluation and construction supervision.
• Compile feasibility reports and design reports.
• Road pavement design using mechanistic empirical analysis.
• Conduct research on pavement technology.
